As a specialist you will bring creative thinking to complex issues, utilising your skills to manage a variety of situations borne out of complex psychosocial, medical or health needs. Contributing to the broader development of the service is essential so that Accelerates mission to reduce harm in this marginalised group is made visible. Thus leadership, team working and seeking creative solutions are key characteristics of this role. The specialist nurse or therapist will be accountable to and provide direct support to the Clinical Lead. This will enable effective management of patient and team objectives whilst remaining focussed on our mission. The purpose of the Lymphoedema Nurse Specialist in Accelerate is to 1. Provide advanced skills to the population, delivered in a thoughtful, creative and timely manner. Being solution focussed and collaborative are key features of this role. 2. Take responsibility for delivery of all aspects of the service under direction of the Delivery Lead 3. Bringing critique to internal and external systems, driving creative team work to effect positive change 4. Providing an excellent role model for junior staff; mentoring and line management as the role progresses 5. Initiating and championing individualised care that enables people to tolerate treatments and thereby improve outcomes 6. Collaborating with the Clinical Lead to deliver Quality improvement initiatives, KPIs and internal audit 7. Delivering education (internal and external) and business development with other providers. 8. Collaborating with the Business Team to deliver an effective Dressing scheme and effective use of resources with our partners
