Summary
Associate Psychological Practitioner (APP) in Mid Furness Primary Care Network (PCN)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 5 APP to work within Mid Furness PCN.
PCNs are a group of General Practice Surgeries who work together and share resources. Being part of the PCN team, you will work alongside other members of the ‘behaviour change team’, such as other mental health practitioners, social prescribers and health and wellbeing coaches.

Working across a PCN, you will provide assessments, structured formulations and brief psychological interventions to help meet presenting need and supporting your General Practice colleagues. You will be supervised by a Psychological professional and local Band 7 Mental Health Practitioner. You will work closely with General Practice staff members and other mental health services and you may also work into the community, to help normalise mental health and teach others have to care for their emotional wellbeing. You will work as part of a team and contribute to the psychological understanding of distress and behaviour.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
