The Role: Mathematics Lecturer (ENMA Department) Stewart Park Centre Middlesbrough

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our English and Mathematics (ENMA) Department, primarily based at our Stewart Park Centre. This role offers a unique opportunity to support the GCSE Mathematics (resit), curriculum, fostering confidence and skills across various levels. The main focus will be on teaching GCSE resits for mathematics, with potential for some entry-level (pre-GCSE) learning.

  • Posts: 1 Full Time lecturer (possible job share) delivering mathematics GCSE resit and FS entry level.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or above in a relevant subject
  • Teaching qualification (Level 5 teaching qualifications accepted)
  • Strong knowledge and experience in GCSE Maths and preferably entry-level qualifications
  • Passion for fostering student success and engagement

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality teaching and learning to and manage students on mathematics GCSE resit or FS entry programme
  • Ensure compliance with all elements of the Study Programme and condition of funding requirements
  • Implement the College quality management system
  • Plan, prepare, and teach agreed contact hours to a high standard
  • Support the development of resources and improvements within the department
  • Manage student expectations through disciplinary procedures
  • Contribute to cross-college events and marketing activities
