department. The post holder will be based at Peterborough
City Hospital.

The successful candidate will work alongside Junior and Middle Grade doctors to provide 24 hour cover on a full shift rota. The candidate will be an integral part of this pleasant, efficient and progressive department, providing immediate medical care, and assisting in reviewing all follow-up patients. The ability to work within a team and communicate effectively with patients, GP’s and hospital colleagues is essential.

The successful candidate will take part in all aspects of the work of the department under the
supervision of the Consultants. The candidate will participate in “shop floor” work assessing

encouraged to supervise and manage junior medical staff and Emergency Nurse
Practitioners if deemed competent by the supervisor and the faculty development group.
They will be expected to participate in the weekly teaching.
The post holder will support the development of clinical governance, using audit findings to
improve the quality of treatment and to minimise clinical risk, develop innovative working
practices and support the growing clinical contribution of non-medical staff.
