Summary

Interested in working in social care? Please read on to see how you can make a difference.

I am a 20 year old male with autism and anxiety. I need support out in the community and to develop my skills in being independent. I enjoy going out for lunch, playing computer games and caring for my pets, at home we have 3 hens and a dog.

I am looking to recruit a PA/support worker
Support to engage in activities such as a walk in the park or a trip to the café. I need help to prepare my lunch and clear away. I need encouragement to engage in activities such as walking my dog, having a go on my treadmill or cleaning my hens. Sometimes I will just need someone to chat to if I am having a difficult day and it is too much for me to go out.
I may require some help to go to the shop to purchase something for lunch or a snack.
I am looking for someone who is patient and has some knowledge of autism and the challenges I might face. The individual needs to drive and have access to a car (mileage will be on top of wages approximately 12 miles a week maybe more where discussed).
I need someone who is able to plan activities in advance with me so I am prepared about what I am doing, they will also need to be able to give gentle encouragement to help me engage.
Preferably a non smoker due to sensory issues. Will need to complete a DBS and provide references.
