Summary

This role will work within the Strategy, Policy, Digital & Technology Directorate. The role holder will play a pivotal role in enabling cross-functional teams to successfully deliver digital projects and products.

The Delivery Manager will be accountable for delivery of value to DVSA products and services. Creating an environment where teams can do their best work, leading on Agile and Lean practices and improved ways of working. Delivering value through technological change that meets user needs.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leadership: Creating an environment where teams can excel. Empower team members to take ownership, make decisions, and collaborate effectively, while ensuring alignment with service or product goals.
  • Quality Delivery: Champion high standards of quality by promoting user-centred design, and agile practices for software development. Facilitate collaboration between design, development, and testing specialists.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance team performance and delivery processes. Encourage experimentation and innovation.
  • Ways of Working: Champion agile and lean approaches, emphasising the importance of iterative development, small teams, frequent value delivery, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.

Additional Information

This role can be based in Bristol, Swansea, Nottingham, Newcastle, Oldham or Birmingham, your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
