Summary
Addressing adverse childhood experiences pathway Children in Care The Children in Care service is a county-wide pathway with locality hubs within it. Currently we are looking for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to be based in Torbay, South & West but with some travelling across the county when needed. The appointed Senior Mental Health Practitioner will work within a trauma-informed multi-disciplinary team, providing assessments and therapy to children with significant, complex and enduring mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety-based or trauma-related difficulties. This will also include working with unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people. We are developing our Team and our work currently and this is a wonderful opportunity to be in at the beginning and influence the way we work. We value the multi-disciplinary team and meet as a whole County Team once a week for case discussions, shared learning, service development and mutual support. You will be offered regular line management supervision from your line manager and monthly clinical supervision from one the senior clinicians in the team. A significant part of our role in the CIC Team is offering consultation, advice and support to other CAMHS Colleagues, Local Authority Social Care Teams, Foster carers and others who may be involved in the child or young persons care
