As Training Programme Director, you will be responsible for coordinating the training across the region. You will ensure that national standards, determined by Royal Colleges, the GDC and NHSE are implemented locally. Applicants must be currently working within the Midlands and East area at consultant level or equivalent. Experience within the specialty at consultant level is essential as is considerable experience of working with learners or dentists in training in an educational context.

You will work with the Regional Associate Dental Dean for Specialty Training to produce dentists who will strive for the highest standards of patient-centred care and commit themselves to a lifetime of professional development.

On 1 April 2023 Health Education England became part of the new NHS England. Our people are our most important asset; recruiting and retaining the best talent remains crucial to our success. We continue to recruit externally where we cannot fill vacancies internally. We hope you choose to join us but please be aware that some roles may be subject to change in the future. We want to attract and retain highly skilled people to enable us to work with our partners to plan, recruit, educate and train the health workforce. Please note, some supporting documentation attached to this vacancy refers to the legacy organisation, previously known as Health Education England, now NHS England. Work is continuing to harmonise the new NHS England recruitment service and any reference to Health Education England will be updated in due course. More information about the transition to the new NHS Englandis available here.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
