Summary


An exciting opportunity has arisen within Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to work within Information Governance.

The successful candidate will support the Information Governance function working closely with the Information Governance Manager and team, and wider Digital team to ensure that the Trust complies with its legislative responsibilities.

The role is responsible for the Freedom of Information email account, collating and producing Freedom of Information requests (Freedom of Information Act 2000) responses keeping logs and working with departments to ensure that information is provided on time to requestors, meeting targets ( 20 days).

This is an entry level position which will provide the successful post-holder with the knowledge to build a career in Information Governance.

Training will be given in the principles of information governance, policy application and development.

The successful candidate must be a good communicator both written and verbally and work well in a team. A key part of this exciting role is to be the first point of contact for Freedom of Information requests, and responding to these in a timely fashion. Collating monthly statistics to reflect the Freedom of Information requests and share this information at Senior level meetings such as the Data Security Protection Group.

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust’s services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.
