Opportunities are available in the General Surgery Department at The Royal Oldham Hospital for doctors who have completed their foundation training or have relevant experience equivalent to the achievement of Foundation Year 1/2 competences.

This new post offers the opportunity for successful candidates to develop and learn a range of skills in General Surgery in a large and busy hospital. They will be part of the clinical team and will take part in the appropriate on-call rota. They will rotate in General and Colorectal firm and the training will be tailored to meet their specific needs. The candidates are also expected to participate in governance related activities such as audits, case presentations, morbidity and mortality meetings etc. They are also expected to attend weekly teaching conducted by the department and be a part of dynamic team.
