I am working with a well-established, family-run, progressive processing company searching for a well-seasoned Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their dynamic team, play a crucial role in their operations and put their own stamp on the role.
The Role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Promptly identify and address electrical issues to minimise production downtime
- Perform preventative maintenance to enhance equipment performance
- Conduct routine inspections and assessments of process equipment
- Adhere to high standards of health and safety practices
- Collaborate with the engineering team to address any arising faults
- Monitor and manage spare parts to ensure continuous production uptime
- Assist with project work and oversee on-site electrical contractors
- Plan and perform electrical maintenance during bi-annual shutdowns
- Work with team members to implement improvements and upgrades
- Train engineering apprentices
Minimum Skills / Experience Required - Electrical Maintenance Engineer
- Electrically biased is essential
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Drives, PLCs, inverters, sensors, and
motors
- Can read and interpret electrical schematics
- Apprenticeship Trained
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level3/BTEC/HNC (In Electrical Engineering)
- Experience in reactive electrical maintenance of a live production line
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Some Mechanical knowledge and willingness to help with mechanical breakdowns
- The ability and willingness to work additional hours out of contracted hours for
breakdowns and time-sensitive project work
- IT Skills
