Summary

We are seeking a *Female Support Worker to support a client living in Patchway, Bristol.

Our client is a vulnerable adult who requires support with developing her independence, cognitive tasks, emotional and behavioural needs, relationships and enabling them to complete domestic tasks and occasional personal care, in order that she can lead her life as close as possible to how she would have prior to her brain injury.

The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the client, promoting and enabling her to develop her independence and wellbeing. You will take an active role in her rehabilitation under the supervision of the team leader and the case consultant.

You will work with the client’s team to ensure a unified approach is maintained in order to positively engage the client in all aspects of her life. You will need to have a resilient and robust personality with a positive attitude and outlook on life. You will need to be empathetic, understanding and non-judgemental.

Previous experience working with clients with additional needs is essential. The desired candidate will have a genuine, caring nature and be confident in researching and planning new activities to undertake with our client.

This is a bank position. Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible.

Rates of pay £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £16.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday. Sleeping Night rates: £138.00 per weekday night, £146.00 per weekend night.

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.

All posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring. Full training will be provided. A full driving licence is essential.
