Description
We are currently seeking Homelessness Project Workers (SC5) to join our team at Osborne Grove. As a Homelessness Project Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing support and assistance to individuals facing homelessness. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those most in need.
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments to determine individuals' needs and develop personalized support plans
Provide practical and emotional support to individuals, assisting them in finding and maintaining suitable accommodation
Work with external agencies to access additional support services, such as healthcare and employment opportunities
Advocate for clients' rights and ensure they receive fair and equal treatment
Help clients develop essential life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and accessing community resources
Assist with the administration of benefits and housing applications to ensure clients receive the necessary financial support
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times
Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
Experience working with individuals facing homelessness or similar vulnerable populations
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to homelessness and housing
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills
Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage a caseload and prioritise tasks effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use case management software effectively
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £11.44
