Summary

Join us as a Strategic Relationship Manager within Asset Management

  • In this role, you’ll be pivotal in driving forward the relationship of our strategic stakeholders and associated services across the Investment Management business
  • We’ll look to you to lead on business development efforts, prospecting and strengthening strategic relationships by identifying and developing relationships with key personnel, at all levels of their organisations
  • You’ll drive a pipeline of developments, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation, to continue to deliver high service levels, increased revenue and great outcomes for our clients

What you’ll do

As a Strategic Relationship Manager within our Asset Management business, you’ll be managing strategic mandate relationships, with a strong foundation of oversight, relationship performance and adherence and monitoring of service level agreements. You’ll bring a strong client focus to this role as we look to you to consistently seek to drive improvements in service levels, and process and investment cost outcomes for the benefit of our clients. You’ll build a pipeline of development opportunities across our strategic providers, working on a cross product and proposition basis to ensure consistent and continuous improvement.

As well as this, you’ll be:

  • Collaborating across internal teams with the strategic relationship to identify and escalate operating & conduct risks
  • Developing a deep understanding of the products or services being sold, the markets in which they are being sold, and broader industry trends and opportunities
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic planning
  • Maintaining and developing appropriate oversight and review mechanisms to deliver high levels of expect service and activity

The skills you'll need

Strong communication and coordination skills are key in this role. Along with this, you’ll have excellent analytical skills coupled with a strong understanding of data and reporting at portfolio level and experience in the investment management industry.

We’ll also expect:

  • Strong experience of business to business strategic relationship management, commercial awareness and negotiating and prospecting at all levels
  • Demonstrable experience of building and successfully executing a broad and wide ranging business plans and strategies
  • A strong understanding of financial markets, investment products, commercial and investment strategy, investment theories and asset valuations
  • The ability to adapt and be responsive to changes in business needs and the industry environment
  • Must be able to set priorities, multitask and monitor own workload and be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication, presentation, conflict management, people and influencing skills at all levels of business
