Summary

What you'll do

You’ll define and support the technical delivery of architectural patterns, processes, policies and standards that underpin governance, risk management, and the compliance of technology at NatWest Boxed.

Alongside this, you'll define and communicate the shared technical and architectural view of end-to-end designs using solution building blocks that may span multiple platforms and domains.

You’ll also:

  • Support and prototype new risk management tools by solving problems with code
  • Develop a strategy for documentation at scale and implementing automated tooling where appropriate
  • Architect processes for privacy and security that work at scale
  • Deploy and architect a process for managing system and process ownership across NatWest Boxed
  • Implement audit automation tools and processes, while supporting organisational accreditation and audit initiatives, such as ISO27001

The skills you'll need

You'll be able to communicate complex concepts and collaborate in a remote-first environment effectively with various teams, including platform engineering, security, privacy and risk.

Additionally, you'll be able to work effectively within an architecture chapter and articulate the relative trade-offs between solution design proposals, explaining effectively how solutions conform to architectural principles.

You’ll also need:

  • Knowledge of application architecture patterns, including microservices and CQRS
  • Experience of defining application architectures and roadmaps for complex solutions across all layers of the technical architecture
  • An understanding of Agile and contemporary methodologies with a background of working in Agile teams
  • Experience delivering solutions that securely span a complex infrastructure domain, including real-time integration into Cloud or software as a service solutions
  • Proficiency in Cloud native architecture, Zero Trust principles, Git version control and data architecture patterns
