The community of Ardgour has recently completed a local Place Plan, with various initiatives identified for action and implementation. We are recruiting for a Community Development Officer to lead on achieving the objectives of the plan. As the sole paid employee, the Community Development Officer will have a crucial influence on the success of the plan in its early stages.
Funding for the post has been secured for an initial 12-month period. The successful candidate will be expected to identify and obtain further external funding to allow the post to continue after this initial period. You will be expected to work on your own initiative to deliver initial priorities in year 1, followed by other agreed projects in years 2-3, should the post continue.
We are looking for someone with the ability to build successful relationships with stakeholders at local, regional and national level.
Regular travel will be required within the Ardgour area, to meet the needs of the role. A driving licence and access to vehicle will be essential.
