One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, is looking for a passionate Support Worker to be part of the team at Gloucester House.
Gloucester House is a substance use rehabilitation service supporting adult males who are in recovery. We are committed to working in partnership with clients, families, funders and others to provide a specialist addiction recovery service, which is person centred and outcome focussed. As a Support Worker you will work with individuals to support them to move onwards in their recovery with the necessary tools to assist in the avoidance of relapse.
You will deliver a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. You will address clients support needs, enable them to make positive life choices and ultimately empower them to lead more sustainable lifestyles with a focus on sustained long-term recovery. You will be involved in the delivery of our Harm Reduction programme which includes Step Work and recovery focussed interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Using a person-centred and therapeutic approach, you will support and empower individuals to sustain their journey of recovery and achieve lasting change.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

Knowledge of the main support needs which are commonly faced by people in recovery
An understanding of working in a psychologically and trauma informed way
The ability to take the lead and make decisions
Ability to work in busy environment, be solution focused, show good time management skills and can demonstrate ability to prioritise and make decisions under pressure
Good verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in range of IT packages including Microsoft
