Join an 'Outstanding' SEND school in Barnet, N12, where your passion for working with pupils with SEND can make a profound impact on their progress and achievement. We are looking for dedicated teaching assistants who are committed to enriching the lives of pupils with Autism, aged 7-19 years old to join this SEN school from September 2024 for a full-time, long term role continuing until July 2025.

Job Description

Are you the ideal SEN teaching assistant? We value experience with ASD pupils and highly appreciate knowledge of PECS or Makaton. If you have a calm demeanor, excellent de-escalation skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to go above and beyond, we want to hear from you! You'll play a vital role in safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

About the role:

SEN Teaching Assistant – Experience with SLD/Complex Needs and Challenging Behaviour is advantageous
PECS, Makaton – Highly desirable!
Full time (Mon-Fri)

To be considered for this role you will need:

· Experience with ASD

· Behaviour Management Skills

· Excellent literacy and numeracy skills
