A fantastic opportunity is available for a Yard Operative to join this prestigious Breakdown & Recovery Organisation.

We are seeking a Yard Person to join our team in a busy vehicle recovery depot in Upminster, Essex. Handy Person skills an advantage
*This is a Self-Employed position - We can help/advise if you have never been self-employed before
Key responsibilities:
Working with all managers Booking Vehicles In/Releasing Vehicles
Must be happy to sweep up and clean floor after vehcile movements
Loading/Unloading Vehicles
Cleaning Workshop for following day
Keeping Yard tidy
Keeping perimeter fence clear of debris
Liaising with staff and Customers
Other duties as required including Handy-Person skills
What we need from you
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5.00pm and Saturday 8am - 1.00pm (when required)
The job involves moving mainly Bikes, Cars, Vans, many badly damaged
- Must be able to drive due to site location and job role
- Class2 licence and advantage
- Prepared to drive/learn to drive a forklift in all weather
- Must be safety conscious
- You will be on your feet all day so fit and able
- He/she is expected to possess excellent communication skills; he/she must be able to listen to and take and give instructions to and from a small friendly team
