Summary

Location: Mercure Glasgow City

We're looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager for this exciting new to market Cluster Sales Manager role, overseeing sales operations at the Mercure Glasgow and Mercure Livingston.

Who are we?

Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA are a division of the global Aimbridge Hospitality brand, overseeing over 1,600 hotels and resorts across the world. We work with big brands such as Hilton, Accor, Marriot and IHG as well as small independent hotels and everything in between.

This role would be a fantastic head start for a driven sales executive looking to make their first step into a senior sales position

What is in it for you?

As part of the Aimbridge family, you will have access to a suite of benefits that include:

  • Hotel discounts portfolio wide – Staff rates and up to 50% discount on food & beverage and spa.
  • Wagestream – Stream up to 40% pay as it is earned and set automatic savings to support your financial wellbeing.
  • 24/7 access to our employee assistance programme.
  • Flexible working policy.
  • Volunteer days – Up to two days per year to support a charity of your choice.

A day in the life of..

As Cluster Sales Manager you will work within the cluster area to promote and sell your cluster hotels as well as the wider regional group of hotels in the portfolio and Aimbridge group of hotels to local clients. Focusing on Corporate customers, Meetings & Group buyers, and relevant agents.

You will seek out new business revenue opportunities and develop existing accounts to achieve increased revenue and market share. Your aim is to drive the growth in revenue and market share across the managed segments for the hotels in your cluster and regional group.

Cluster Sales Managers are expected to employ an organised, planned, and strategic approach to account management, revenue generating activities and customer engagement and brand activity to achieve clear supported business results. The role is measured through key sales metrics and KPIs including monthly revenue and opportunity reporting.

Overseeing the Mercure Glasgow and Mercure Livingston Hotel, you will be required to commute between these locations and to client meetings. As such access to your own transport will be required.

You will be part of a small (but mighty!) team of passionate people who know that being the best doesn’t always mean working around the clock.

What do we need from you?

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a Sales Manager capacity, within the hospitality industry.

As the commercial expert for these hotels, you will be able to comfortably discuss business performance and make informed decisions/recommendations at a senior level. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with the General Managers and the senior management team on-property and upskilling the team to ensure we maximise revenue at every opportunity.
