Clinical Triage Nursing Sister/Charge Nurse (Integrated Single Point of Access ISPA) Band 6 FTC

This will be a fixed term post or secondment for 12 months.

Our working hours are between 8am-8pm 7 days a week and you will be required to work shifts within those times and days.

As a valued team member your development will be supported through a robust induction programme, a value based appraisal, one to one meetings, regular in-service training and clinical and managerial supervision. You will be working as part of a multi professional team so there is opportunity for joint working and collaborative learning across a range of nurses and therapists. Training opportunities are supported by our Practice Based Facilitators and is actively encouraged by Team Leads.

As an experienced Clinician, you will utilise your clinical knowledge and risk assessment skills to triage and clearly identify urgent and non-urgent patient referrals and allocate and arrange visits to our patients within the community setting.

The role is predominantly completing telephone triage so it’s essential you have excellent communication skills as you will regularly be liaising with patients, carers and other professionals. You will also be IT competent and confident as you will be working with technology and multiple patient information systems.

Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust (CWPT) has taken the decision to no longer continue to provide Adult Physical Health Services, when the contract expires at the end of March 2024, as there are more suitable providers within the wider NHS local system.

Following a review of suitable providers to take forward the contract, the Coventry and Warwickshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has confirmed its intention to award the contract for the provision of Adult Physical Health services to University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW).

Your application to work in Adult Physical Health services will not be adversely impacted by the change in provider. Should you be successful in your application and commence employment prior to the transfer, your contract of employment (that is your terms and conditions of service as at the point of transfer) will automatically transfer to the new organisation, under the "Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006" (TUPE) as amended by the "Collective Redundancies and Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) (Amendment) Regulations 2014".

Should you be successful in your application and commence employment after the transfer, your contract of employment will be issued by the new provider of Adult Physical Health Services.
