Summary
TeacherActive is now working with a primary school in the heart of Southend-on-Sea, a vibrant and diverse learning environment. Every single one of their pupils gets an amazing education from attending. This school puts a lot of effort into providing a secure, caring atmosphere that fosters learning.
This school currently seeks a compassionate and driven learning support assistant. The selected candidate will play a key role in giving kids with a variety of learning difficulties the resources and assistance they require to succeed academically and socially. The selected candidate will have to report for work five days a week and this will carry over to September.
Key responsibilities:
• Help pupils who might want or need individualised attention one-on-one or in small groups.
• Assist pupils in fostering positive conduct and social skill development.
• Prepare and organize classroom tasks related materials and resources.
Qualifications and skills Required/Preferred:
• Previous experience as a learning support assistant or similar role is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patient and positive attitude.
• Basic knowledge of special educational needs (SEN)
