Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit an Consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our Wirral CYPMHS Team within the Birch Centre, Birkenhead. The successful candidate will join the 0-18 partnership team

The children and young people’s care group within CWP has recently redesigned community CAMHS services to allow greater flexibility for the workforce and to improve patient flow through the system. The core features of this redesign included the implementation of a new model of care that separates out Access components (which includes new services including the Mental Health Support Teams in schools) from Partnership work. The Thrive model is a point of reference for this framework.

Following redesign the new teams have consolidated into four locality-based 0-18 teams: Wirral, West Cheshire, Central Cheshire and East Cheshire with the Central Cheshire service operating out of two bases.

• To undertake the administrative duties associated with the care of patients.

• To maintain professional registration with the General Medical Council, Mental Health Act Section 12(2) approval, and to abide by professional codes of conduct.
• To participate annually in a job plan review with the clinical manager, which will include consultation with a relevant manager in order to ensure that the post is developed to take into account changes in service configuration and delivery associated with modernisation.
