Summary

Brightwork are supporting our client, with the recruitment of a Manufacturing Technician to work within formulation team, based onsite in Ayrshire.

The role is an initial temporary ongoing contract. Working on a 24/7 shift pattern, 12-hour shifts, 4 on 4 off. Flexibility is required for this role, and you must be able to work both day and night shifts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for equipment set up, manufacture of products as itemised on the manufacturing schedule and cleaning of manufacturing equipment and facilities, in strict compliance with Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, Environmental, and all other appropriate regulatory standards and Company policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensures the formulation rooms and equipment are clean and audit-ready state.
• Completes all documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (EXCiPACT GMP).
• Operates automated filling equipment used to fill DPM.
• Uses SAP for formulation of the raw materials required for both Dry Powder Media (DPM) and liquid media manufacture documenting on electronic batch records.
• Performs housekeeping for raw materials within SAP and the raw material pantry
• Cleans and/or prepares Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC’s), super sacks, equipment, glassware and the formulation areas in preparation for batch formulation.
• Uses SAP for completion of electronic batch documentation for DPM fill.
• Cleans, prepares and assembles all equipment required for use for the filling process.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Participates in the EH&S responsibilities for all functions performed within Production.
• Participates in risk assessment and root cause analysis evaluation activities as required.

The successful candidate must have:

• Degree in Biological or Chemical Science or other appropriate discipline
• cGMP related manufacturing experience or equivalent
• Batch manufacture with specific reference to batch processing within controlled process areas
• Experience working with SAP and mechanical aptitude for process equipment or mechanical systems would be advantageous.
