Summary


Thepurpose of thisrole isto workwithotherstoprovideadministrative supporttoservices, health careprofessionalsand otheradministrators. You will be based at a particular site most of the time but as part of the role you may be required to visit other sites within the Diggory Division.



You willbeexpected to be studying towardsandundergraduatedegree orsimilarqualification andanticipatethatthisrole willleadontomore experiencedBusinessrolesupon graduatingfromUniversity. Thisrole willinvolveyou completing work-based learningand being observed at work as well as some training. You will be supported at all stages of the Placement.

· ToprovideadministrativesupporttotheBusiness&Transformation/PerformanceteamintheDiggoryDivision.

· To assist theBusinessandTransformation managersinanumberof projectswithin the MiltonKeynesCommunityand MentalHealth Services; this could include analysis of information from the clinical systems.

· To provideadministrative supportto projectmanagerswithina specifiednumberof services. Thiswillinclude preparingspreadsheets, setting up meetings and keeping plans up to date.

· To use ITsystemsasrequired,followingappropriatetraining, to carryout arangeof dutiesto support BusinessTransformation.

· Toparticipateinmaintaininganuptodatecollectionofinformationandhealtheducationliterature.

· TomaintainPurchaseorderandcontractlogs.

· Toassistinprovidinggeneralofficesupporttostaff,e.g.settingupofmeetings.

· ToensuregoodHealthandSafetypracticesatalltime

· Toworkinotherareasof thetrust,asrequiredbytheneedsoftheservice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a placement student to join our busy team and make the most of your experience at CNWL!

You will be involved in supporting a number of Business Transformation projects, across both Mental and Community Health services.

Ideally you will be working towards a degree, with an interest in business when you complete your studies

This is a 12-month placement, ideally starting in September 2024.

Main duties of the job

Whilst at CNWL, you will be able to develop:
• Your business acumen skills
• Work within a number of services throughout our NHS Trust
• Gain experience working in a high-profile area
• Experience working to targets and attaining high professional standards, whilst being supported by our friendly teams

The work is varied and can be challenging, but will provide a valuable experience for future roles, both within and outside of the NHS.

We are happy to support a flexible balance between work and home once you have 'found your feet', but will require attendance at the office in Milton Keynes for the majority of the week to help to support your learning and development.
• To provide administrative support to the Business & Transformation in the Diggory Division.
• To assist the business and transformation managers in a number of projects within the Milton Keynes Community and Mental Health Services; this could include analysis of information from the clinical systems.
• To provide administrative support to project managers within a specified number of services. This will include preparing spreadsheets, setting up meetings and keeping plans up to date.
• To use IT systems as required, following appropriate training, to carry out a range of duties to support Business Transformation.
• To participate in maintaining an up to date collection of information and health education literature.
• To maintain purchase orders and contract logs
• To assist in providing general office support to staff, e.g. setting up of meetings
• To ensure good Health and Safety practices at all times.
• To work in other areas of the trust, as required by the needs of the service.
