We have an exciting new opportunity at one of our care homes in Market Drayton for an Assistant Service Manager who can share in Bethphage’s values. As the Assistant Service Manager you will provide high quality support to adults with learning disabilities , Autism and those who require support with mental health conditions. You will ensure they are supported to develop and maintain independence, take part in community activities, leisure, education and work opportunities in a person-centred way.

The role will involve you as a Service Manager leading the day to day management of the care home, providing effective management for up to four people. You will ensure the team provide the people supported to have opportunities of their choice and to aid them to eventually move on to a new permanent home. You will be an experienced in health and social care worker, a good communicator and able to work with people and professionals at all levels. You should be confident, knowledgeable of the care sector and resolution focussed . You will have great IT skills and write legibly, have excellent experience in person-centred practice and positive behaviour support.

The role will involve participating in the out of hours on call rota.

Candidates who do not have a level 5 qualification but are prepared to work towards this will be considered so long as they have suitable management experience and professional knowledge in the sector, ideally in learning disability.

About You:

Attributes:

Management qualification level 3/4 and prepared to work towards level 5.
Have knowledge and experience in the Health and Social care sector.
Experience of working with people who have Learning disabilities and Autism.
Understanding of behaviours, trauma, rapport building.
Supervisory experience and experience of being in a management.
Although this post is off Rota, there may be times when the service manager may need to work some support shifts to meet the needs of the service, which could include evenings and weekends.
