Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism? Looking for a new and rewarding opportunity?

A well-known, 'Good' primary school based in Haringey, N17, is seeking dedicated teaching assistants with a proven track record in supporting children with Autism to join their team on a full-time basis ASAP.

Job Description

This role involves providing 1:1 and small group support within the Autism Unit. You will work closely with the class teacher and therapists to implement personalized learning programs. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, helping each child feel valued and supported. Your role will be crucial in developing pupils' social, communication, and behavioral skills, while ensuring their safety and welfare. Alongside the staff, you will be responsible for safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people.

To be considered for this role you will need:

· Experience working with Autism. (PECS and Makaton knowledge highly desirable)

· Positive attitude and positive behaviour management philosophies

· Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children.
