Summary

HICA is seeking to recruit a customer-focused and confident communicator who can provide excellent administrative support to our Payroll Department at our Head Office, based in the grounds of Hesslewood Country Business Park.

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful applicant will assist with both 4 weekly and monthly payroll to ensure all payroll documentation is processed to the agreed timescales and records are kept up to date.

· Annual salary: £26,000

· Contracted hours: 37 hours per week

You will play a pivotal administrative role, acting as the first line of support for managers and staff, to enable the delivery of an accurate and customer-focused payroll service.

Key duties & responsibilities:

· Process starters, leavers and contract changes on the payroll system, logging updates with absence and overtime.

· Calculate and process statutory payments i.e. SSP, SMP and SPP.

· Calculate and process attachment of earnings and other deductions

· Process the Company’s Auto Enrolment scheme.

· Monitor the designated inbox and play a lead role in answering queries, accessing the necessary information on our payroll system.

Skills/Experience:

· Experience working in a similar role within a professional payroll function.

· Strong planning and personal organisational capabilities, with the ability to work individually to manage own workload.

· Previous experience and strong skills using Microsoft Excel is an essential part of this role.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
