The job is based within the Oncology Department at Royal Blackburn Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join a team of Medical Secretaries to support them within their roles.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerical Officer/Audio Typist to join a very busy Oncology Department to support the medical secretaries with their clinic typing etc

The main responsibility of this role is to support the medical secretaries undertaking:

· Audio-typing in relation to outpatient consultations and inpatient discharge summaries.

· May be required to liaise with Reception staff/Appointment clerks regarding follow up appointments.

· Completing standard letters and sending to source of referral where patients fail to attend for clinic appointments.

· Input and extract data from the Cerner and other relevant software programmes.
