Senior Clinical Advisor (IUC/111)

Recruiting for our Wakefield and Rotherham call centre

If you are looking for a new challenge in your career, then this is the role for you. Our NHS 111 (Integrated Urgent care) call centres are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and motivated clinicians to join our growing team of healthcare professionals.

We are currently only recruiting clinicians who are RN1 and HCPC Paramedic registered due to staffing levels in other disciplines.

We have vacancies at our Wakefield and Rotherham call centres with a range of rota’s we can discuss with you.

We do not have any homeworking opportunities.

Our multi-disciplinary team of staff provide a high level of clinical care to patients across the Yorkshire and Humber region, using telephone communication systems. Our clinical staff are highly skilled in the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, supported by computer-based decision-making tools.

Training

You will commence your role on a training contract until successful completion of your training, following this you will then be moved onto a permanent contract.

“The clinical management structure is currently undergoing organisational change, and it is likely the Senior Clinical Advisor’s management structure may change in the future. The Senior Clinical Advisor role is not in scope of consultation.”

Working as part of the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, we offer a high standard and professional service to our patients, supporting them by providing high level, evidence-based care, where necessary signposting to the most appropriate service or care provider including, ambulance dispatch and the wider community based services.

As part of working within the IUC team, you will be offered training and support into the field of remote clinical triage and assessment, with opportunity to progress and develop professionally through a verity of CPD opportunities. Telephone triage will support your on-going accreditation.

Unsocial hours payments

All time on Saturday (midnight to midnight) and any week day after 8pm and before 6am – time plus 30%

All time on Sunday and Public Holidays (midnight to midnight) – time plus 60%
