Summary

The largest British-owned wiring manufacturer in the UK is looking for a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team at their factory in Doncaster. On offer is a starting salary between £35,000 - £38,000 plus a profit share bonus scheme.

Role Responsibilities

You will be joining a prominent manufacturing company known for producing high-quality cables. As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

Reactive Maintenance:

  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical breakdowns promptly.
  • Drive boards - examination, fault finding, changing fuses, and loading parameters.
  • PLCs - fault finding, part replacement, and program loading.
  • Familiarity with relays, contactors, wiring systems, wiring drawings, heater bands, thermocouples, SSR's, pumps, blowers, etc.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of various motors, including AC, DC, SERVO, and brush gear change.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM):

  • Collaborating with production teams to plan and execute PPM activities.
  • Ensuring timely and effective completion of scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Contributing to the development of maintenance schedules to optimise production efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering/maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds in a relevant electrical qualification.
  • Preferably experienced in working with extrusion machines.
  • Competent in examining, fault-finding, and performing maintenance on drive boards, PLCs, relays, contactors, wiring systems, motors, and related equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
