Summary

About the role

As a Senior Product Manager within the Online Checkout team, you will apply your deep checkout expertise and experience to drive & evolve the strategy & roadmap in the context of an established & market leading online groceries proposition, a new Marketplace proposition & future propositions. You will steer the team to unlock greater value from the online checkout experience, integrating other value propositions into checkout, such as our subscription & loyalty propositions, reducing barriers to conversion, and delivering a seamless online checkout experience however our customers choose to shop online with Tesco.

You will play a key role in a cross-functional squad and will collaborate very closely with Engineering, Design, Research, Analytics, Business and API teams. You will use research outputs, analytics, market and business insights, and multiple experimentation techniques to build a long-term roadmap focused on customer pain points and business opportunities, thus helping continuously improving our value proposition.

We are looking for a high performing, self-driven, motivated Senior Product Manager with eCommerce checkout experience to join our amazing product team within an ambitious organisation. You will be making a direct impact to our customers\' experience by creating an inspiring, yet simple, shopping trip with innovative features and capabilities.

You will be responsible for

  • Shape & evolve the vision, strategy and long-term roadmap for the product and support junior & mid-level Product Managers to execute it well by constantly influencing & aligning stakeholders & working through dependencies across multiple products / teams.
  • Accountable for the performance/ adoption of the product and achieving the Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Understand key user personas, customers & stakeholders for the product and their pain points.
  • Understand and demonstrate the features of the product to different audiences within and outside of the immediate team.
  • Facilitate ideation of hypotheses & experiments, creating robust data-driven decisions on product improvements and their influence on product performance indicators.
  • Understands product discovery and can establish minimum viable product (MVP) for any new product/feature, collaborating with user experience (UX) and engineering teams to prototype and validate the MVP.
  • Present your product and its capabilities/outcomes to other Tesco Product areas and teams.

You will need

  • eCommerce checkout experience.
  • Proven track record & experience in the checkout domain as an Individual Contributor (IC) at Senior Product Manager level.
  • Experience in hypothesis building, experiments and A/B Testing to roll out product improvements.
  • Understanding and experience of User Experience (UX) driven product developments.
