Summary


A brand-new opportunity has arisen for a registered and experienced midwife to join Frimley Health as a 'Lead Midwife for Saving Babies Lives'.

This role will involve working across both sites at Frimley Health: Frimley Park Hospital in Camberley and Wexham Park Hospital in Slough.

The post holder will be leading on the implementation of the Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle (SBLCB) across maternity at Frimley Health.

The post holder will work closely with the consultant midwives, the patient safety team, the practice development team and other stakeholders at both sites to achieve the elements of the care bundle.

The post holder will
• Lead on implementing and maintaining compliance with SBLCB at Frimley Health, including:• Reducing smoking in pregnancy
• Risk assessment and surveillance of pregnancies at risk of Fetal Growth Restriction (FGR)
• Raising awareness of reduced fetal movements
• Reducing preterm birth
• Management of pre-existing diabetes
• Support the Consultant Midwives, the Quality & Governance Lead and the Lead Midwife for Education to achieve better birth outcomes through audit and training.
• Work alongside the MDT to achieve the relevant elements of the care bundle.
