An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to join our experienced and dedicated paediatric team at East Surrey Hospital. We are expanding our skill mix and service offer within our paediatric services.
Position Details:
- Role: Paediatric Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)
- Band: 8a (or Band 7 for trainee post)
- Training: Trainee post available, commencing as a Band 7 while completing training and education. Once qualified, the Paediatric ACP will be promoted to a Band 8a position.
- Responsibilities:
- Assessing and managing unwell and deteriorating patients in areas of highest clinical acuity.
- Working with a high level of personal and professional autonomy.
- Using specialist knowledge and skills to deliver independent assessment, clinical examination, diagnosis, clinical decision-making, planning of care and treatment, health promotion, and safe admission and discharge of patients.
- Scope of Practice:
- The walk-in centres serve both Paediatric and Adult patients.
- Occasional cross-cover working.
- Ensuring practitioners work within their scope of practice.
- Offering training and support to empower Paediatric trained practitioners to work in an area serving both children and adults.
