Summary

About the Role
Queen Mary Hall (QMH) is set to be a pivotal community asset for Kingston residents, especially designed to serve council tenants and leaseholders in the Cambridge Road Estate. As the interim replacement for Piper Hall, QMH will support a vibrant range of activities and services during Phase 1 of the Cambridge Road Estate regeneration programme.

We are seeking a dedicated Community Centre Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Queen Mary Hall. This role is crucial in ensuring that the hall serves as a thriving hub for community engagement and support.


About Us
As part of our ongoing commitment to community development and enhancement, Kingston Council, in collaboration with our joint venture development partner, Countryside, we are undertaking the refurbishment of Queen Mary Hall. This initiative is a key element of the preparation for the ambitious regeneration of the Cambridge Road Estate.

Queen Mary Hall, located directly opposite the Cambridge Road Estate in the Cambridge Gardens area, has been chosen for refurbishment due to its strategic location and the potential to significantly improve local community facilities. This project not only aims to enhance the existing hall but also ensures that community activities can continue seamlessly during the regeneration phase of the nearby estate.

About You
We are looking for someone who is cheerful and practical and loves meeting new people, you'll also need:

Great customer service skill and will be able to work with a wide range of people including Members, residents, businesses, communities, and partner organisations.
Strong organisational and planning skills to manage events and activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of landlord services, ideally gained in a housing or community organisation. You will be technically proficient and understand the importance of Health and Safety.
Ability to be able to work flexible hours that will include some on-site presence comprising evening and weekend working
