Are you a Behaviour Support Worker that enjoys the flexibility of supply?

We are currently working supporting a number of SEN and SEMH Provisions specialist in Barnsley to appoint Behaviour Support Workers to support their schools and staff.

We are looking for individuals that have previous experience of working with challenging behaviour. We are also interested in hearing from those who have a strong care and sports background and are seeking to transition their skills into an education setting. Graduates are also encouraged and welcome to apply, as supply is a great way to build up your experience.

To provide support and guidance and deliver short term intervention to students to remove barriers to learning through promoting effective participation, raising self esteem, enhancing individual learning and raising
aspirations in order to achieve fully their
potential.

As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will be required to work with individual pupils, groups of children and the whole class. You will be required to support pupils with a range of abilities and support the Class Teacher.

Our schools can offer part-time, full-time, short-term and long-term roles.

Requirements

Ability to work with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
Strong behaviour management skills
Very good written, listening and oral communication
skills, high level organisational skills
Experience of working with Secondary age pupils
2x references
A valid DBS or willing to obtain
Team teach is also desirable

Rate of pay is dependent on current grade, experience, and payroll method.
