Senior Payroll Specialist UK & IE
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Location: Hybrid working supported. 2 days per week in the office (London Heathrow, TW6 3FE)
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum + bonus + benefits
Are you an experienced payroll professional looking for a new challenge? We're seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accurate and timely processing of our payroll, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with payroll procedures.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Monthly Payroll Management: Take full ownership of monthly payroll processes for Schenker UK and SGMS UK. Support the Irish payroll where required.
- Payroll Processing: Handle payroll transactions including hires, terminations, pay rate changes, benefits, taxes, overtime, pensions, and other payments and deductions.
- Data Verification: Check payroll changes from the HR system, Time & Attendance system, and spreadsheets to identify and investigate irregularities.
- Manual Adjustments: Process manual payroll changes, including ad hoc payments, maternity, and paternity pay.
- Revenue Submissions: Ensure timely and accurate transmission of monthly Revenue submissions.
- Collaboration: Work with HR to maintain accurate salary and benefit records.
- Annual Processes: Manage the annual P60 and P11D processes for UK
- Tax Filings: Ensure accurate processing of payroll tax filings, returns, and payments across Ireland.
- Overtime Records: Ensure accurate overtime records and timely data from time and attendance systems.
- Year-End Processes: Complete payroll year-end processes accurately and within timelines.
- Pensions: Administer the company pension schemes and be the first point of contact for the Pension providers and the Pensions authority.
About You
- Extensive experience in end-to-end payroll processing for a complex, multi-site workforce.
- Demonstrable current UK payroll knowledge of legislation including Tax, NI, SMP and SSP, NIC and PAYE, P60, P11D and P32.
- Current knowledge of Irish payroll legislation including Tax, PRSI, PAYE, P60, etc.
- Excellent working knowledge of payroll systems, experience with Zellis is required. Exposure to SAGE HCM and/or SAP SuccessFactors would desirable.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Payroll qualification (e.g. CIPP) is desired but not essential
