Summary


Are you a self motivated individual with great interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellent customer service?

Dorset Healthcare are looking for enthusiastic individuals to work as Driver's for the Dorset Integrated Urgent Care Service.

You will be joining a dedicated team that supports patient care within the Integrated Urgent Care Service and supports our mobile clinicians in delivering care in the patients home.

We can offer full and part time hours from our base location of St Leonards, Dorset. Full training and development will be offered to successful candidates.

Example of Hours 18:45 – 23:00 and 23:00 – 07:30 / 08:00 Monday Friday

19:00 – 23:00 and 23:00 – 07:30 / 08:00 Saturday and Sunday

As this role involves shifts during the Out of Hours period, this role attracts an enhanced shift allowance; please see Section 2 Agenda for Change Framework for further information.



This role is varied and interesting where candidates require good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, relatives and other staff groups.

Responsibilities include:
• Maintain adequate stock and drugs in the urgent care cars
• Carry out daily safety vehicle checks
• Ensure the cars are kept well organised and clean
• To cover receptionist when required
• To assist the clinician in delivering care in the patients home
• Accepting cases from dispatch and driving the clinician to the next visit

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
