Summary
JOB PURPOSE
We are pleased to announce that we are looking for a Corporate Compliance Officer to join the Finance team. This role will encompass the areas of Health and Safety and Information Governance and have dual reporting into the HR and Finance teams on an operational level but with line management being provided by the Director of Finance.
This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to support the senior management team in ensuring effective governance practices and compliance with regulatory requirements, working across all areas of the organisation. The role is critical to the smooth running of the Health and Safety and Information Governance functions, and the successful candidate will provide advice, guidance, and training with the objective of improving working practices across the Group. This post holder will hold a key managerial role within the Charity, playing a pivotal part in strengthening our business and giving the successful candidate the professional satisfaction of making a direct contribution to the work we do to support disabled people achieve their goals for life.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (OUTLINE)
About the role
• You will provide management and assurance on all aspects of GDPR, Information Governance and Health and Safety compliance within the QEF.
• You will ensure that QEF meets the regulatory requirements from Health and Safety Executive, Care Quality Commission (CQC) and Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
• You will be the main point of contact across the QEF, providing hands-on subject expertise to both the clinical and non-clinical aspects of the QEF in relation to; Data Protection (DPA 2018 and UK GDPR), Freedom of Information; Confidentiality and Health and Safety
• You will fulfil the role of the “Responsible Person” in respect of the organisation’s legal compliance with regards to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
About you
• You will hold the NEBOSH National General Certificate or be working towards attaining NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• You will have qualifications in Professional Data Protection and ISEB Information Security Management Principles or equivalent experience.
• You will have sound knowledge of the Data Protection Act and other key legislation around the security and process of personal data within the NHS.
• You will have extensive knowledge of current subject access request guidance.
• You will have strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate with senior stakeholders on difficult or contentious issues including performance and change.
• You can manage your own workload and direct activities of others to achieve outcomes from a non-hierarchical position.
• You will hold a Driving Licence and have the ability to travel across locations in Surrey/Outer London.
