Summary
Static Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Birmingham - Salary up to £38,000
CBW has an excellent new opportunity for a static Mechanical Engineer to join a leading facilities company. This is covering a commercial site in a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. with no on call.
Key duties & Responsibilities
- Monitor mechanical plant
- Pumps, Motors, Seals, Bearings
- Plumbing - Unblocking toilets, replacing taps, washers
- BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
- Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
- Maintain and update Logbooks
- Working to Planned Preventative and Reactive maintenance regimes
- Changing taps/washers
- Install and replace hot water cylinders, pipework, Boilers, Temperature check the repair and servicing of mechanical & electrical (M&E) equipment, PPM & reactive.
- Managing priorities within contract constraints.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve set goals.
- Participation in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours.
- Providing information for the pricing of M&E works where applicable, for minor projects and maintenance.
Person Specification:
- Previously worked within a maintenance environment
- Post apprenticeship experience within a maintenance environment
Good knowledge and understanding of a range of complex mechanical systems - Recognised apprenticeship in relevant engineering discipline to City & Guilds level
- GCSE / O Level Mathematics and English or equivalent
- Previous Competent Person/Authorised Person experience including ventilation and/or pressure systems (Desirable)
Salary & Benefits:
- Basic Salary of up to £38,000
- No Call out
- Monday to Friday 08.00 – 17.00
