Credit Controller required in Southampton, Hampshire
- Basic Salary up to £25,000
- Large Commercial Vehicle Group
- Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00 (40 hours a week)
Our client, a well-known Commercial Vehicle Dealer Group are seeking a Credit Controller for their team based in Southampton, Hampshire.
With over 50 years’ experience within the Commercial Vehicle Sector, selling over 100,000 vehicles annually and turnover £1bn +, our client offers a safe, stable, and supportive working environment. They are the largest independent dealer of their partnered brand and provide sales and service for wide range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and vans.
They have a dedicated team of technicians who can perform maintenance and repairs on all makes and models of commercial vehicles. The dealership's workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and equipment to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards.

Duties of a Credit Controller with our Client:
- Ensure customer accounts are paid to terms and chasing payment for overdue debt
- Efficiently communicate with customers to ensure payments due to us align with their account and payments are made in accordance with deadlines
- Review accounts on the credit chase letter report as required, contacting customers by phone to ascertain why payment has not yet been sent
- Supporting the Sales Ledger team with admin duties
- To build up a knowledge of the customer base and where possible achieve a rapport with the accounts contact.
What our client expects of their Credit Controllers:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Ideally experience with Autoline software
- The ability to work under pressure
- To be proactive with an eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- A willingness to learn
