We are currently recruiting for a talented Civil Engineer to join a reputable engineering consultancy based in Manchester. This consultancy specializes in offering multi-disciplined engineering services and is looking to expand its team due to rapid growth.
About the Role:
As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the Civils team, contributing to the development of innovative design solutions. This is a full-time hybrid role, offering a blend of office and remote work flexibility.
Responsibilities:
- Developing infrastructure designs and planning schemes to meet industry standards.
- Producing Masterplan concept drawings and general arrangements.
- Assisting in the preparation of contract documents and specifications.
- Conducting inspections, surveys, and site supervision.
- Mentoring junior staff and providing technical guidance.
- Managing small projects or project elements as required.
- Contributing to effective project management and budgetary awareness.
- Developing design solutions aligned with client needs.
- Supporting the technical advancement of the design function.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum three to five years of experience in infrastructure design.
- Experience with Section 278/38 agreements and water industry agreements.
- Familiarity with drainage standards and guidance.
- Knowledge of DMRB, Manual for Streets, and Highway standards.
- Proficiency in Micro Drainage.
- Desirable: Experience with Civil 3D software.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commercial awareness.
