Summary

We have a new opportunity for an Assistant Park Warden to work on behalf of the local authority. In a role where you will assist in the management and maintenance of nature reserves and walking trails through out Conwy Council.

In the Assistant Warden role, you will be:

    • Assisting with conservation and maintenance of nature reserves, including safety audits and Local Nature Reserves
    • Supporting survey and monitoring activities, maintaining information systems
    • Conducting guided walks and events for the public and educational groups
    • Helping develop and promote walking trails and create interpretive materials
    • Enforcing site byelaws with tact and discretion

    To be considered for the Assistant Warden role, you will need:

      • Countryside management experience or similar experience desirable
      • Species identification skills
      • Self-motivated with time management skills
      • Proficient with Microsoft Windows, email, and Internet
      • English communication essential; Welsh desirable
      • Hold full UK drivers’ licence and access to own vehicle

      This is a full-time role working 5 out of 7 days per week. Working hours are from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with a payrate of £12.80 per hour + holiday pay and enhanced rates for weekend and bank holiday working.
