LTF Recruitment are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support students in a welcoming secondary school located in the Birmingham B42 area. The successful candidate will join a supportive and successful school, rated Ofsted 'Good', taking a positive approach to supporting students with a passion for helping them to reach their full potential. The successful candidate will work from 8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday - Friday during term time only.
This is a september starting role, with a permanent opportunity.
Role Responsibilities:
- Offer individualised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with students, staff and parents to build a supportive network
- Collaborate closely with teachers to understand the students learning styles, strengths and challenges of individual students
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom culture that fosters a sense of value and support for all students
- Develop positive relationships with students, guiding them in adhering to school rules and expectations
Person Specification:
- A relevant qualification or degree in education, special education, or a related field is desirable
- Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt learning and provide tailored support
- An up to date DBS and two references
