Summary

Are you looking for a new challenge?

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner within Derbyshire Constabulary for a Commissioning and Projects Officer in a permanent full-time position.

You will be providing an efficient and effective Commissioning and Performance function, whilst taking responsibility for Projects as agreed with the head of Commissioning and Partnerships.

This role will be responsible for co-ordinating the performance framework, monitoring information and key bespoke projects to support the Commissioning function, in addition to projects with the wider OPCC.

You will also contribute to the delivery of the Commissioning Service Plan alongside the wider OPCC Delivery Plan.

Key Responsibilities
• To support the contract management process for high quality victim services as part of the commissioning team.
• To prepare and produce the financial plan which includes grants, projects and commissioned services, including oversight of the payment process in liaison with colleagues and Derbyshire Constabulary’s Finance Team.
• To have responsibility for creating Partnership Agreements and liaising with the Derbyshire Constabulary Legal Team in relation to these agreements.
• Research, interpret and analyse information from a broad range of digital and paper-based sources to identify patterns, trends, series, gaps and discrepancies to guide commissioning activities.

The must haves
• To have an understanding of the grants process and appropriate aspects of Commissioning.
• The ability to set budgets and modelling alternative financial profiles for undertaking new services and/or grant programmes.
• Experience in both written and oral English for report writing and the presentation of briefings.
• Confident in assessing and assisting with the resolution of issues relating to grant making or commissioned contracts.

Salary Grade H £31,755 - £39,036

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
