Summary


We are looking for a Band 7 Ward Manager to come and join our team.

The Ward Manager will be a highly experienced, knowledgeable clinical leader, who provides clinical and professional leadership and support to the ward team.

Acting as a role model the Ward Manager will promote and monitor safe and effective practice. Will develop the ward team to ensure considerate and compassionate care is delivered by a competent workforce.

You will work with the Matron and Operational Service Manager to develop processes to enhance the patient experience.

You will have high standards and be able to demonstrate excellent patient care, clinical and managerial skills.

You will have relevant experience in a leadership or managerial position, and have a good understanding of trust policy and HR processes.

• Use their expert knowledge and clinical judgement to lead the ward team to deliver high quality care.
• Monitor and maintain standards of care and provide this information to the Directorate.
• Ensure the provision of continuity of care.
• Assess and evaluate, with patients and /or carers, the effectiveness of the treatment and care provided and make changes as needed.
• Work across professional, organisational and system boundaries and proactively develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health, outcomes and healthcare delivery systems.
• To effectively manage human, financial, material and information resources.
