Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3-4 months

City: North Greenwich

The purpose of the role is to provide a high quality, customer-focused recruitment service by proactively building relationships with internal customers and a range of partners to deliver an efficient and effective service.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the management and delivery of effective recruitment and selection services including advertising jobs, co-ordinating and participating in selection procedures, implementing all pre-employment checks and issuing contracts of employment.
Assist with the implementation and monitoring of service standards relating to recruitment and selection and produce monitoring reports.
Deliver high quality cost effective recruitment and selection services to internal and external customers; undertaking and supporting recruitment projects and assignments on behalf of specific Council departments.
Deliver the provision of an integrated recruitment service and ensure that selection processes maintain high professional standards and are fair/equitable.
Support the delivery of high quality cost effective recruitment and assessment services to internal and external customers.
The collection, collation and analysis of recruitment monitoring information, including national and local performance indicators, data analysis and production of reports.

Qualifications:

CIPD Qualified (membership or graduate membership) or currently studying for graduate membership or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge through significant recruitment and selection experience.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Experienced in in-house recruitment within a complex organisation.
Good understanding and proven experience of strategic and operational resourcing.
Direct Sourcing experience
In-house recruitment experience, or agency but aligned to a large client.
Comfortable using LinkedIn to source candidates.
Able to use an applicant tracking system (Taleo).
Sound knowledge of recruitment processes and employment legislation and how this impacts on recruitment and selection.
Experience of undertaking recruitment assignments and projects targeting customer needs.
Experience of carrying out pre-employment screening activities.
Experience of developing and maintaining high quality administrative and information systems.
Experience of improving recruitment and selection service delivery to support the business objectives.
Experience of integrating the principles of equal opportunity and diversity considerations into all recruitment and assessment services.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
