Summary

HSE Manager

Are you passionate about ensuring a safe and healthy work environment while contributing to the success of a leading manufacturing company? We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Health, Safety, and Environment Manager to join a dynamic team.
You will have a NEBOSH Level 6 Diploma or equivalent or working towards it, alongside extensive experience in championing workplace safety and environmental awareness, driving compliance through employee engagement and knowledge sharing.

As the Health and Safety Manager, your responsibilities will include:
* Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
* Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with applicable safety standards.
* Provide guidance and support to employees and management on health, safety, and environmental matters.
* Liaising closely with the site management team, Human Resources and Occupational Health to ensure thorough investigation is carried out in line with employment law following any health concerns raised.
* Establish and maintain strong reporting mechanisms to monitor and analyse safety performance data.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver training programs and initiatives to promote a safety-conscious culture.
* Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
* Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures to effectively manage potential crises or disasters.
* Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive the implementation of effective safety and environmental initiatives.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation related to health, safety, and environmental activities.

Health and Safety Manager Key Skills:
* Proven experience as a Health, Safety, and Environment Manager in a manufacturing environment.
* In-depth knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
* Professional certifications in health, safety, and environmental management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO 37301,45001,14001,9001,50001) are highly desirable.
* Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.

* Strong reporting and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide obtainable insights.

* Strong general management skills, including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage resources, and drive results.
* Approachable, authentic, and able to maintain perspective in challenging situations.
