Summary
PLEASE READ FULL JOB DESCRIPTION ATTACHED. 1. To deliver the requirements of the forensic practitioner service following the Codes of Practice of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984 and the locally agreed protocols. 2. Provide advice and support to custody officers in determining the health care needs of detainees and the priorities of care, seeking advice from Seniors, Lead Seniors and Clinical Leads / Consultants on call when required. 3. Work with other members of the team to ensure that the service is provided at all times. Including demonstrating flexibility and acting supportively at all times. 4. Attend other sites as required: e.g. hospitals to carry out blood and toxicology procedures 5. Work with other members of the team including, where relevant: Liaison & Diversion, Court staff and Community Teams to ensure a seamless service is delivered, demonstrating flexibility and acting supportively at all times. 6. Identify vulnerabilities and make referrals to external services for the ongoing support of the service user 7. To understand and implement the principles of safeguarding children, young people and adults who have support needs. Ensuring compliance with local safeguarding policies, procedures and other statutory requirements.
