Are you passionate about supporting adult learners? DCG are recruiting a forward-thinking team member to join its Learning Support team. This exciting part-time opportunity will see you join an expanding department working with adult learners’ who have a range of Inclusion needs. Our students are at the heart of our person-centred approach, and we support all our 120+ learning support staff to develop and embed outstanding skills and knowledge. We offer a huge range of support to students across our college on all college sites.
The Opportunity
This is a varied and rewarding role, passion around equity, initiative and accuracy are essential. This role will involve being flexible to work cross college sites on a flexible support timetable. As a Basic Skills Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will be supporting the Adult cohort of 19+ learners, working towards qualifications ranging from Entry Level 1 to Level 2. As an LSA, you will be expected to assist with shared group support, 1:1 individual support, In-class support and out-of-class support, as well as:
Support planning with adult learners to enable them to be the best they can
Providing face to face support across college sites
Management of data and creating support evidence to support audit and impact tracking

You will be keen to work with students supporting them to access all elements of the curriculum.
